Leather Options
We have both leather and suede products. Leather is made using the outer part, also called the grain side of the hide, thus making it very durable and easy to maintain, while suede is made using the inner part, making it soft and fluffy and needing a lot of maintenance. Leather is more suited for everyday use. The hides we have include cow and lamb skin.
Fit
Sizing charts measure the vest itself, not your body compare the chest measurement to a jacket you already own, or add 2–4 inches for ease. Leather typically loosens 5–10% across the chest and waist within the first 20 wears. The shoulder seam should sit at or slightly past your natural shoulder; if it sits above it, size up. Free custom sizing is available on every order.
Care
Regular conditioning is required every 3-6 months to avoid dryness and cracking. Avoid exposure to water and hang in a broad position. Properly cared for, the leather vest will develop a natural patina and last for many years.
