The Aviator Heritage

The flight leather jacket was born in WWI. Pilots needed something tough enough to handle brutal cold and rough enough to last years of hard use. Leather and shearling became the combination that worked then and still works now. Custom Fit for a Structured Jacket

Aviator jackets sit differently than a standard leather jacket. The shoulder construction is there, the shearling creates bulk, and chest fit becomes more important than normal. In case regular sizing doesn't suit you, each of our jackets will be tailored to your specific measurements. Just give us your chest, shoulder and sleeve measurements, and we'll do the rest.

Caring for Your Jacket

The leather should be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth. The shearling collar can be brushed with a soft-bristle brush. The leather must be conditioned every few months using a good leather cream. This coat should not be exposed to direct heat and should always be hung up using a broad hanger.

Is the collar real shearling?

Yes. Every jacket in this collection uses genuine sheepskin shearling  not bonded wool or synthetic fleece. The collar is dense, warm and built to last.

How warm is a shearling aviator jacket?

It is warm enough for temperatures that go as low as -10C (14F). The natural fibers will be able to keep your body at a comfortable temperature without overheating you while indoors. 

Can I get a custom size?

Yes. We make every jacket to order. Extend us your measurements prior to buying and we shall verify the sizing before cutting the leather.
